Robbie Rice started the business back in 2004 as a way to contribute to her household while keeping her infant daughter with her, rather than at daycare. A trip the the 2nd St. Public Market in Dayton gave her the idea that she could make gourmet mixes in Mason Jars at home during the week and sell them at the Market on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with little Olivia in a baby carrier or playpen, if need be. The mixes proved a success, Olivia didn't mind hanging out at the Market, and a business was born. Our products evolved due to customer demands and Robbie's creativity. As a way to source ingredients at a lower price and to keep those ingredients fresher, we began offering them alone (not incorporated in the gourmet mixes).
